Cote de Pablo born María José de Pablo Fernández is a Chilean-born American known for starring in the CBS crime drama NCIS, as Ziva David from 2005 to 2013. Who Is Cote de Pablo? Côté de Pablo was born on November 12, 1979, in Santiago Chile to Maria Olga Fernandez and Francisco de Pablo. He was raised alongside her younger sister Andrea and brother Francisco. At age 10, Maria migrated to the United States of America with her mom who had gained employment at the time at a Spanish-language television network. She attended Arvida Middle School and New World School of the Arts studying musical theatre. Subsequently, she had her college education at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she studied music and theater, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater in the year 2000. She started appearing on tv at age 15 as a co-host of the talk show Control that’s from 1994 to 1995. She worked as a waitress in an Indian restaurant and Italian eatery to survive. In 2000, she starred in Fox’s The Street and CBS series The Education of Max Bickford. In 2005, she appeared in NCIS as Ziva David. The role earned her an Imagen Award during the Imagen Foundation Awards as the Best Supporting Actress in Television for NCIS. In 2011, she won an ALMA Award for the same role.
